Penshurst-Californian bungalow
A clever redesign has embraced the period features of the existing bungalow while creating a light and airy family home.
Located within a heritage conservation area the renovations were sympathetic to the existing home and capitilised on the natural topography of the site.
The new layout created a first floor open plan area consisting of kitchen, dining and living areas which flow out to an outdoor terrace via stacking doors and servery windows.
Located directly below is an additional bedroom, bathroom, laundry with external access, double garage and workspace.
The materials used included lightweight heritage cladding, timber framed windows and doors, recycled hardwood timber flooring, recycled brickwork and concrete roof tiles to match existing.
