A convoluted floor plan was redesigned to create a space that was geared for entertaining.

The rear portion of the terrace containing a maze of awkward rooms, twisting hallway and external laundry were all demolished.

A new layout was configured to create a flowing inside-outside space. The wet areas were brought together and an open plan area consisting of the kitchen, dining and living areas was designed to flow straight onto a rear courtyard via a small timber deck.

The materials used included recycled hardwood timber flooring, stone bench tops, aluminum framed windows and doors, recycled hardwood timber deck and recycled brick work within the rear courtyard.
